desaparecido

i have not updated this journal in a while and well, that's because i've pretty much abandoned it.

i'm still writing (my asia trip has given me a burst of inspiration) and am still actively using livejournal, but mostly to watch communities, pick up on various news, look at pretty things, the usual suspects.

it's just that most of the people i've become friends with through lj were from an old crowd i'm no longer keeping up with. some of you who i've been lj-friends with for a while i realize we just don't have much of anything in common anymore. growing up doesn't have to mean growing apart, but in this case, it has.

a new journal will be created soon, but i'm starting from scratch (though i will be tracking some familiar faces i realize i've missed).

in other news, i just spent a month in asia (laos, malaysia, thailand) and it pretty much stole my heart in all the good ways and then some. the heart is a tricky thing.

you are all wonderful people & i hope amazing things happen for you.
